THE MANSION

With a superb limestone facade in the Beaux-Arts style, this mansion was originally erected for Alice and Arthur Sachs in 1908-9 by Buchman and Fox, the architects of the Gilded Age beauty at 5 East 73rd Street and enduring monuments such as Saks and Altmans. It faces 57 East 66th Street, the long-time residence of Andy Warhol from 1974 to 1987, designated a landmark in 1998 in celebration of Warhol's seventieth birthday.

THE MODERN RESIDENCE

From the ground floor entry hall of this approximately 9600sf townhouse, there are direct views to the stair hall, kitchen, and terrace beyond, creating an immediate green sightline.
